Costa Rica Trip & Itinerary

I visited the beautiful country of Costa Rica for about two weeks beginning January 2 of 2020 and will be writing about my experience there in detail over the next several weeks. Though I have traveled internationally, particularly as a model, I have never written about my trips and wish to begin doing so. Please feel free to offer input or questions as you read my posts!

Costa Rica is a stunning country full of diverse natural beauty. I went with a friend and our intention was to visit as many places as was reasonably possible, experience all we could in the short period of time we had, keep to a budget while still enjoying ourselves, and take beautiful photographs of all the stunning places we saw.

We chose to travel in January because it fit with our work schedules and even more importantly, is during Costa Rica’s dry season. We booked our flights and hotels well in advance to save money and planned our schedule well beforehand so we knew what we would be doing when and could plan, pack and budget accordingly. We rented a car so we could get around easily and quickly and stop as needed, and made sure that one phone had service there at all times so provide us with GPS directions as needed.

We flew into the Juan Santamaría Airport in San Jose and traveled to the Arenal area, then Monteverde, and finally ended in Jaco Beach. Nearly every day was packed with activities, slowing down briefly in Jaco for a bit of time to relax. Our full itinerary is below and I will be writing about each place individually in the next few weeks as well as our experiences with car rental, money, hotels, etc.
